The International Monetary Fund is looking at raising its share of Greeceâ??s financial rescue package by â?¬10bn amid fears that the planned â?¬45bn bail-out will fail to prevent the countryâ??s debt crisis from spiralling out of control.
Greeceâ??s securities regulator banned short-selling in shares on the Athens bourse until June 28, after heavy losses of Greek assets a day earlier in the wake of the countryâ??s deepening debt crisis.
GMAC Financial Services said on Monday its Residential Capital unit had agreed to sell its European mortgage assets and businesses to affiliates of hedge fund and private equity firm Fortress Investment Group (FIG.N).
