NYSE Euronext loses $1.34bn in fourth quarter (Headlines)
NYSE Euronext on Monday reported a net loss of $1.34bn for the fourth quarter, missing expectations, as it was hit by costs related to the merger of NYSE and Euronext. Revenues also suffered because of a new rebate scheme for high frequency customers.
Returns from commercial property fell to record lows last quarter. Total returns across all property classes in the last quarter of 2008 were minus 12.8 per cent, according to property consultancy Jones Lang LaSalle, which dragged returns for the full year down to minus 21.2 per cent.
