The winner of the Warren Buffett charity lunch is Canadian money manager Salida Capital. They paid $1.68m for a chance to have lunch with Warren Buffet next year.

Salida reportedly lost over two thirds of its client money last year. Most of their funds under the BTR name stopped reporting their performances to databases in 2008. Although up this year, customers in the Salida Multi Strategy Hedge fund are still down some 45 per cent over one year.
