Korea Asset Management Corp (Kamco), plans to spend about Won1,000bn ($886m) on US non-performing loans. They are currently in talks with Merrill Lynch to purchase a substantial amount of non-performing loans of the investment bank.

According to Kamco the talks with Merrill have stalled amid disagreements over pricing.
