Undertakings for Collective Investments in Transferable Securities
A type of collective investment (or fund) that allows Financial institutions to operate freely throughout the European Union on the basis of a single authorisation from one member state. A UCITS structured fund gives investors minimum bi-weekly liquidity; daily pricing; assets held by a trustee, not an administrator or a prime broker; an independent fund board; higher standards of corporate governance and oversight.
